You’re invited!

Sheltering Wings was founded in response to the need for emergency housing for female victims of domestic violence. And, for 18 years, we’ve been faithful to our mission. While we’ve always offered the same services to men – with the exception of onsite emergency housing – we believe the time has come for us to expand.

We’ve undergone an expansion of our facility to offer emergency housing to men and their children.

Join us for an open-house celebration on Feb. 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. View the facility, visit with staff and leaders and enjoy a brief program from 5:45 to 6:00 p.m.

Please RSVP via email with your name and the name(s) of anyone attending with you. Sheltering Wings is located at 1251 Sycamore Lane in Danville.

Read on to learn more about why it’s so important for us to be able to provide this service to men and their children as well as to women.

“Domestic violence does not discriminate. This expansion enables us to serve all survivors of all forms of abuse with the same level of care.”
