Sheltering Wings’ board of directors and committees are comprised of individuals with diverse perspectives, skills, and experiences dedicated to fulfilling our mission to serve survivors of domestic abuse. Sheltering Wings is specifically looking to recruit survivors of domestic abuse to serve on our board of directors or one of our committees. We value the insight of people who have lived experiences to help ensure we stay true to our mission and provide the most helpful and effective services for our clients.
Our board of directors is a mission-focused group of individuals who enjoy serving in more of an oversight and administrative capacity, and who’d like to help secure financial and other resources to support our mission. Our board focuses on strategic governance and oversight, measures the success of our programs and services, provides financial oversight, and secures sufficient resources.

Our committee members dig a little deeper into the details of the organization and work on special projects. Each committee has a particular area of focus that allows people to be engaged in an area that is meaningful and of interest to them.

Vision
Sheltering Wings was formed in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ. We will extend the love and compassion of Christ to survivors of domestic abuse. Christ was never coercive or offensive and neither are our services. Our assistance will be offered in the name of Christ to any survivor of any background.
Mission
Sheltering Wings provides emergency housing for survivors escaping domestic abuse. We build stable and independent lives through essential programs offered in a supportive and Christ-centered environment.
