Torchbearer Award

I’m so very excited and honored to share with you over the next couple of weeks as Maria is away and taking some much deserved time off. On Wednesday evening, the night before her trip, Maria was one of ten women in the state of Indiana honored by the Indiana Commission For Women for her service to and impact on women and children in our community over the past 18 years. The board and staff here are so very proud of her. Watch this presentation on the link below. Blessings!...

Hendricks County Fair

Yesterday I had the opportunity to work our booth at the Hendricks County Fair. There were a lot of people who visited our booth and spoke to us about ways that they have or are helping the shelter. We are so blessed to have such overwhelming support from our community! We sold lots of tickets for the Harley and had a great time talking to the community about the events that we have going on. It’s great to see so many guys visit the booth to look at the bike! I also enjoyed talking to some of our staff and volunteers who were working the both with me. So, if you are out at the fair, be sure to stop by our booth in the Expo Hall!...

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with the principal at Danville High School. I am pleased to say that I will be teaching the Danville High School students during multiple sessions throughout the year. I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with the teens in...

I had my preview today and I was approved. The shelter has been so blessed by United Way; we could not do what we do without them! This is just one small way to give back during their campaign. I am already on their schedule to speak on August...

Break A Sweat, Break The Cycle

Last night we had our second committee meeting for the “Break a Sweat, Break the Cycle” event that will be held on October 2 at Hummel Park. This is a wonderful group of ladies who know how to get things done. They are so positive and easy to work with. These women amaze me. I am so blessed to be part of this group and this organization. I thank God for opening the doors that lead me...
