Sponsor Christmas Gifts for Individuals
(Adults and Children)

Did you know we plan to help over 100 people have Christmas this year? If you would like to sponsor gifts for an individual or family, please secure your spot by Nov. 12th.

Adopt A Stocking

We need help to provide 50-60 stockings for our Community Advocacy Service clients.

These will be sponsored at a price point of around $20-$25 + the cost of the stocking. Just like sponsoring Christmas gifts for a client, we will give you a customized list with age, sizes, potential items to select for the stockings!

You will receive an email with a custom gift list for by Nov. 21st. You must bring all purchased gifts unwrapped to Sheltering Wings no later than Dec. 12th by 5pm.

Sponsors will be assigned on a first-come basis.

Want to be a sponsor? Email Jess Jones at [email protected]. Let Jess know how many clients you or your group would like to shop for.

Organize A Donation Drive

You can support what we do well beyond the holiday season by organizing an item drive or a financial donation drive at your workplace, church, or with your group.

Download our general Christmas Wish List or view our Amazon Registry and our Walmart Registry.

Donations of non-perishable food, paper products, laundry pods, comforters, gift cards and more will set our clients up for a successful 2026. These items are always in high demand!

We can also customize this for your group! You can host a targeted donation drive for needed items including:

  • Gifts for Santa’s Workshop: We need fun gifts for men and women in the $10 to $15 range for Santa’s Workshop. Children will shop in Santa’s Workshop to select gifts for their parent. Gifts should be dropped off at Sheltering Wings by December 8th by 5pm.
  • A Limited Item Drive: We personalize a short list of 8-10 specific items for your group. If you are interested in one of these drives, please reach out! These items need to be returned by December 23rd or after January 5th as staff may be limited during the holiday break.
  • Gift Card Drive: Gift cards are needed for groceries (Kroger, Aldi, Walmart), gas for our vans (Kroger, Speedway, BP or Circle K), and Uber for our clients until they get their first paychecks.
  • Item drives for The Nook: The Nook is our boutique where residents can put into practice “low stakes” fiscal responsibility and savings practices. While we always meet our resident’s immediate needs free of charge, The Nook contains bonus goodies like Bath & Body Works products, makeup, small toys, coloring books, magazines, wallets & purses, perfume/colognes, jewelry, and more.

Email Jess Jones at [email protected]. if you plan to organize a drive or have any questions about how to start one!

Donate From Our Wish List

Sheltering Wings has been able to serve thousands of survivors of domestic violence, along with their children, because of the generosity of our community and churches. Whenever we have announced that we have needs, you have responded. Thank you!

Download our Christmas Wish List for current needs.

By providing day-to-day necessities our residents and children require you will be a massive encouragement to them. They work hard to escape domestic violence and build stable, independent lives at Sheltering Wings. Your donations will ensure we can continue to provide the highest level of care, case management and life-skills training – not to mention, hope – to the women, men and children who currently call the safe confines of Sheltering Wings their home.

If you have questions or if you would like to schedule a delivery, contact Jess Jones at (317) 386-5056.

We are able to accept donations at our facility on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Provide Holiday Meals

Help provide home-cooked meals for residents on Thanksgiving or Christmas and New Year’s Day.

  • Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinner: You or your group can sponsor a catered family-style meal for delivery to Sheltering Wings on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. We need these donors secured by Nov 14.
  • Christmas and New Year’s Day Breakfasts: Your family or group can prepare a breakfast that staff can pop into the ovens on Christmas morning and New Years Day for our residents to enjoy! One year we had cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole! We would love these opportunities secured by Dec. 5.

Please email Jess Jones at [email protected] if you’d like to learn more about providing holiday meals.

Volunteer

Would your family, small group or business team like to volunteer at Sheltering  Wings during the holidays? We need volunteer groups secured by Nov. 21 to make the following events a success!

  • Deck the Halls Monday Dec 1 from 5:30p-8p: Help us get into the Christmas spirit by decorating our facility! Your group will be here from as early as 5:30pm until 8pm to decorate our facility. We have the decor; we just need the manpower to set it all up. This task will not take more than 2 hours, so this time is flexible.
  • Gift Wrapping and Donation Organization: Help with final gift preparation and general donation organization before Christmas night! Gift wrapping will be taking place the week of Dec 15-19 in 1.5-hour blocks with daytime, afternoon, and some evening spots available. Spots are filling up quickly so please reach out to Jess Jones at [email protected] if you or your group would like to wrap gifts. Or sign up here for any available opportunity.
  • General donation organizing will be taking place as needed all month long. If you are interested in joining our Organizing Team, please reach out to Jess Jones at [email protected]
