It was wonderful to gather together for breakfast last week! If you came, thanks for joining us! If you weren’t able to make it, we want to share some food for thought. We heard from Mark Fairchild, who gave us some really valuable things to reflect on as we take the step into authenticity.
Each day we are given the opportunity to influence and impact others. Are you being authentic in each opportunity?
If you’re wondering how you can be authentic in your day-to-day interactions, here are a few things to try:
- Give the “good kind.” People notice when we give from a place that matters. Are you just checking the box to do good, or do you give the very best? Everyone deserves the best in this life, and we have the opportunity to give the very best to those around us each day.
- Don’t be afraid to share the tough stuff. We all have days and times when things don’t go well and when we mess up. When we share the tough stuff or the mess-ups, we are creating a space for others to share their mess-ups and fears too.
- Don’t let the ceiling hold you down. We all have untapped potential and capabilities, and when you encourage those around you to not hold back, they are going to move right through our expectations. Help others find that little bit of extra that we all have inside us.
- Take the opportunity. Take the time to make connections with those who are around you. It isn’t always the big things that have the greatest impact. More often than not, it’s the little day-to-day traditions that create the deepest connections
- Let loose and have fun! Be quirky and fun, laugh and let go! Go back to those moments when you could just be silly. This shows others that it’s okay to be your true self.
You have the power to share your authenticity in the day-to-day moments – don’t let them pass you by!
