Success Stories Aren’t Always the Reality

I love sharing success stories with you – stories of survivors who break the cycle of abuse.

But recently, we’ve been reminded of the gut-wrenching fact that success stories aren’t always the reality. Over the past few months, there have been many stories of victims who were killed at the hands of their abuser, some of whom, we know and have helped.

We’re devastated. These victims didn’t deserve abuse. They didn’t deserve the violence that tragically led to their death.

Maybe the hardest thing is that these deaths were preventable. Abuse is preventable.
