I’d like to tell you the story of Jackie, a young mom who has called Sheltering Wings home for several months.
Like many of the survivors who seek emergency shelter because of domestic abuse, Jackie did not have a job. She did not have a way to provide food or shelter for her young chidlren.
But, thanks to you, Jackie found help at Sheltering Wings. Because of your support, Sheltering Wings has a full-time advocate dedicated to helping clients build stability. Employment and education are her main focus.

We’re also proud to report that thanks to you, 37 clients have found jobs since January. 25 found work through 1:1 support from our team, and 12 more clients have found jobs on their own.
Each one represents stability in action. Each one is a success story that has the potential to save and change lives for generations to come.

You can help directly support our clients find jobs. We need volunteers who can help with resumes and interview skills. We need volunteers to drive clients to interviews. And we need Uber and gas cards to help clients get to work until they get their first paychecks.
