There isn’t a certain prerequisite for you to be an example they follow. It is your mere presence in their lives’ that makes you an example. They look at and to you to see how you live.
- Do you give them your time and attention?
- How do you treat others?
- How important does family seem to be to you?
- Are you a man of faith?
- Are you a man of integrity that they can follow?
With all this said, what kind of teacher are you as our children head back to school? Teachers may be able to leave a good impression on their students, but is this enough? Our kids need to be surround by positive role models in many areas of their lives.
I propose that we as men have the responsibility to be the most influential ‘teachers’ in our kid’s lives. Are you living a life in front of them that you want them to follow? What are you teaching?
