Precious Volunteers

This past week has been such a blessing as I’ve had the opportunity to spend some time with a couple of our volunteers here at the shelter. On Tuesday I had lunch and spent the afternoon (on my day off) with a very special lady and what a fun time we had getting to know each other a bit better on a more personal level. She volunteers her time a couple of days a week here as our volunteer Volunteer Coordinator. Then, yesterday evening, I stopped in to see one of our long time volunteers who has a beautiful seven week old baby boy. I got to hold baby Isaac and to hear all the details of how he came into this world – a little bit of a bumpy ride at first – but is now doing so very well and growing like a little weed. Precious and beautiful! Exactly how the staff here feels about all of our volunteers – they are, each one, precious to us and beautiful in God’s sight as they serve the women and children of Sheltering Wings. Thank you all!
