Over the weekend another domestic violence death occurred on the far west-side of Indianapolis. As is the case in all cases of homicide – it is unexpected and numbing. With domestic violence cases everyone wonders – why didn’t I see the signs – how could I have prevented this – what could I have done to prevent this – what if I had said something to help her leave ….. and the questions continue.
To be honest there is no answer. There have been cases where friends and family did step in, did say the right things and yet still tragedy occurred.
My heart aches for this family – and, I continue to ask myself when will it end.
